How It Works

This PDF advanced editor is built on the OpenDataLoader open-source local PDF parsing engine. All file processing is performed offline in your browser.

1. 1. Local PDF Page Parsing: Reads all page vector layers, native text, images, tables, and fonts into browser local memory, separating editable text from static image layers.

2. 2. Real-time Edit Layer Overlay & Rendering: Generates an independent editing canvas over the original PDF page, rendering edit elements in real-time:

- Text Editing: Overwrites native text layers with custom fonts, sizes, and colors.

- Annotation/Highlight/Redact: Generates semi-transparent/solid rectangle vector layers over target text.

- Signature/Shapes: Converts handwriting, image signatures, and shapes into vector objects with adjustable position, size, and opacity.

3. 3. Page Data Stream Reassembly: Merges original PDF page resources with all new edit vector layers, preserving layout, page size, headers, and footers.

4. 4. Edited PDF Local Export: After reassembly, generates a new PDF with all modifications locally. One-click download.
