How It Works
This PDF compression tool is built on the OpenDataLoader open-source local PDF parsing engine. All file processing is performed offline in your browser.
1. Local PDF Parsing: Reads all pages, embedded images, fonts, and redundant metadata from the uploaded PDF into browser local memory.
2. Layered Compression Algorithm:
- Image Layer Compression: Adaptively reduces image DPI and compresses pixel data based on selected quality level.
- Redundant Data Cleanup: Removes extra preview thumbnails, unused comments, duplicate embedded fonts, and blank metadata.
- Document Lightweight Packaging: Reorganizes page data streams and optimizes internal PDF structure for further size reduction.
3. Local Lightweight PDF Export: After all compression steps complete, repackages a new compressed PDF file locally in the browser. One-click download without modifying the original PDF.
